Jiyou Jia

Peking University, China

Brirf Introduction: Dr. Jiyou Jia is a full professor and the Head of the Department of Educational Technology, Graduate School of Education, Peking University, China and is also the founding director of International Research Center for Education and Information at Peking University. He was invited to work as a guest professor in 2015 by School of Education, Technical University of Munich, Germany, and Distinguished Professor at Institute for Research in Open and Innovative Education, the Open University of Hong Kong in 2017. His research interests include educational technology and artificial intelligence in education, especially in TELL (Technology Enhanced Language Learning), math education with ICT, and decision making support system. Jia has published more than 150 articles in internationally or nationally peer-reviewed journals and conferences including Computers and Education, Knowledge-Based Systems, etc. He has edited one book and authored another one, both written in English and published by IGI Global, USA. He is also the author of one Chinese book and one book in German. He serves as a reviewer for several international journals indexed in SCI/SSCI, a co-chair or PC member of more than 20 international conferences including ICCE, ICALT and GCCCE, and an advisory expert for some scientific and governmental organizations. He has been responsible for a dozen of national projects and international cooperation projects. His research has won a number of national and international prizes including Outstanding Paper Award from Emerald Publishing 2023, the First Class Award of the Fifth National Award for Outstanding Achievements in Educational Research, from Ministry of Education, China 2016, and IAAI (Innovative Application of Artificial Intelligence) Deployed Application Award by AAAI (Association of Advancement of Artificial Intelligence), USA, 2008.





Wenbing Zhao

Cleveland State University, USA

Brief Introduction: Dr. Zhao is a Professor at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Cleveland State University. He got his BS and MS degrees from the Physics Department in Peking University. He earned his Ph.D. at University of California, Santa Barbara in 2002. He has over 250 peer-reviewed publications and the author of the research monograph titled “From Traditional Fault Tolerance to Blockchain.” Dr. Zhao’s research spans from dependable distributed systems, human centered smart systems, and engineering education. His research has been funded by the US NSF, US Department of Energy, US Department of Education, US Department of Transportation, Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, Ohio Department of Higher Education, the Ohio Development Services Agency, and Woodruff Foundation. He has delivered more than 10 keynotes, tutorials, public talks and demonstrations in various conferences, industry and academic venues. Dr. Zhao is an associate editor for IEEE Access, Human-Centric Computing and Information Sciences, MDPI Computers, and PeerJ Computer Science, and a member of the editorial board of several international journals, including Sensors, Applied System Innovation, Internal Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems. He is currently an IEEE Senior Member and serves as the Treasurer of the IEEE Cleveland Section.

Pingyi Fan

Tsinghua University, China

Brirf Introduction: Dr. Pingyi Fan is a professor of the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University. He received Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electronic Engineering of Tsinghua University in 1994. From 1997 to 1999, he visited the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Delaware in the United States. He also visited many universities and research institutes in the United States, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore. He has obtained many research grants, including national 973 Project, 863 Project, mobile special project and the key R&D program, national natural funds and international cooperation projects. He has published more than 190 SCI papers (more than 130 IEEE journals), and 4 academic books. He also applied for more than 30 national invention patents, 5 international patents and. He won seven best paper awards of international conferences, including IEEE ICC2020 and Globecom 2014, and received the best paper award of IEEE TAOS Technical Committee in 2020, the excellent editor award of IEEE TWC (2009), etc. He has served as the editorial board member of several Journals, including IEEE and MDPI. He is currently the editorial board member of Open Journal of Mathematical Sciences, the deputy director of China Information Theory society, the co-chair of China's 6G-ANA TG4, and the chairman of Network and Communication Technology Committee of IEEE ChinaSIP. His current research interests are in 6G wireless communication network and machine learning, semantic information theory and generalized information theory, big data processing theory, intelligent network and system detection, etc.
